These photos show the Defender’s two suspension options.
The latest batch of spy photos gives us the best glimpse yet at the four-door. Land Rover Defender 110 The Defender 90 is a two-door model. These shots show their exteriors again. They also check out the rear suspension layouts.
Jaguar hasn’t yet decided to remove much camouflage exterior of the upcoming SUVs. Both offer modernized versions of the long-lived classic with their boxy, sleek proportions.
These photos reveal something about the Defenders. These photos show the 110’s air suspension at its rear axle. The bags can also be seen in these images. Although the front end isn’t visible in these pictures, we would expect it to be.
The Defender 90 has a simpler setup, with coil springs at both the rear axle and most likely at the front. It’s unclear at this time if the air suspension will be available on both models. The test mule does not have it. The tech might be only available on the 110.
These SUVs come with fabric panels to hide the dashboard. The surroundings are very high-tech. The digital dashboard is available, while the steering wheel has capacitive controls. The wheel is accompanied by an infotainment screen. The joystick-shaped gearshift can be found below the screen. On the right, you will find the physical HVAC controls.
The new Defender will be unveiled in September. It will likely be on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The launch model will be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder. Later versions of hybrid and diesel models will be available. The Defender will be available in America in 2020. Sales will begin in Europe and Australia early 2020.
