Is it the 90 or the 110?
The author previously assumed that it’s the Defender 90 on the video. However, eagle-eyed readers argued that this is the 110 due to the presence of rear door handles when zoomed in, which is honestly hard to discern at this point. We’ve updated the article to reflect ambiguity. Besides, the reveal is right around the corner. We’ll know which one by then.
It’s hard to believe that Frankfurt Motor Show teasers will be released on weekends. That’s probably one of the perks to writing outside of work. I caught the latest teaser for the Land Rover Defender.
This footage shows Land Rover’s proven abilities through a zoomed out shot of a naked Defender. It’s difficult to see all the details, but we can confirm one thing based on this video: The Defender 90 will have its spare tires at the rear
Remember that official prototype testing and spy shots previously showed the Defender 110 and 90 with and without the spare wheel.
Speculations can be put to rest now that this video confirms that there will be an additional wheel at the Defender’s tailgate. What about the Defender 130? We’ll have to wait until September 10th for more teasers, or wait for the actual reveal.
Details about the Defender are still being revealed, though they will not be made public until the official debut. The prototype was driven by testers and they say that the Defender will have two types of suspension: coil or air. Land Rover reinforced the subframes of the Defender’s air suspension with reinforcements. You can also get up to 22 inches on standard 18-inch wheels.
Details will be released at the 2020 Land Rover Defender unveil at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 10, 2019. The Defender’s new design was leaked by someone .
