The Euro version comes with a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated engine, paired to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or CVT.

Mitsubishi’s compact crossover can be called ASX, RVR, or Outlander Sport depending on where you are located. Although the third generation was available since 2010, the attached images do not show the fourth-gen model. The model now features Mitsu’s Dynamic Shield front design language, which means it is in line with the Eclipse Cross.

The 2020 model year update includes LED taillights and headlights. New colors like Red Diamond, Sunshine Orange and Oak Brown have been added to the range. To make the ASX look more rugged, Mitsubishi designed a new rear skid plate in silver. To complete the look, a similar change was made to the front bumper.

The touchscreen for the infotainment has grown in size from 7 to 8 inches when you enter the cabin. You can get Tom Tom navigation and real-time traffic information if you choose the higher-spec models. Mitsubishi will soon offer a smartphone app that displays the vehicle’s speedometer, warning lamps, remaining info and other information.

The 2020 Mitsubishi ASX is available in Europe with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox. A continuously variable transmission (CVT), which mimics six physical gears, is available at an additional cost. Although the Japanese marque has not yet provided details about the engine’s output, we should mention that it produces 148 horsepower and is capable of delivering 144 pound-feet (195 Newton meters) of torque.

The press release does not mention the diesel engine. This could indicate that the 1.6-liter unit was dropped. The updated ASX will be offered in Europe with both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel drive versions.

The 2019 Geneva Motor Show will be opening its doors to the 89 edition of the Mitsubishi ASX. We’ll start to see the updated Mitsubishi ASX starting March 5. The 2020 Outlander Sport, which is American-spec, could be shown at the New York Auto Show in the latter half of next month. Los Angeles Auto Show will open its doors in the second half November.
