2020 Ram 3500 HD Dually Covered in Heavy Camouflage

We do have an idea of what it will look like.

There are only so many ways you can slice a pickup truck. So spy photos of 2020 RAM 3500HD single-cab dual-cab don’t surprise me. The cabin is in the front, with the long bed trailing behind. It rides on a four-wheeled chassis. With its 2020 Ram HD, Ram will not redefine the HD pickup truck market. The burly workhorse, however, will receive a series of interior and exterior updates to make it more powerful and in line with the redesigned 2019 Ram 1500. While this is not the first time we have seen the Ram 3500 HD , it is the first time that our photographers have seen a dual-engine Ram 3500 HD .

The Ram 1500 is a model for styling, so the 3500 may ditch the crosshair grille. It could also have a 1500-style grille and headlights. The exterior design of the 3500 should be more muscular than that of the 1500, such as an aggressive roof.

The story inside should remain the same. Many elements from the 1500 will reappear within the 3500. It will be given a thoughtful layout with premium materials throughout. Uconnect 4 will be available with or without navigation. The Uconnect 4C NAV infotainment systems with 12-inch portrait-oriented touchscreens at the center console will be an option.

Although a modern exterior and interior are important, it is what lies beneath that moves these HD trucks from showroom floors into driveways. There are currently three engines to choose from. A 5.7-liter V8 produces 383 horsepower, while a 6.4 liter V8 makes 410 horsepower. The last engine available – the 6.7-liter straight six turbo diesel. It produces 350 horsepower and 660 pound feet of torque. There are also 370 hp, 800 lbft and 370 hp. 385 HP is available with 930lb-ft.

The 5.7 and the 6.4 V8 can be fitted with a six-speed automatic gearbox, while the 6.7 can be coupled with either a manual or an automatic six-speed transmission. These engines will continue to be available in the 2020 model year. The 6.7-liter I6 will be able to compete with the Ford F-350 or Chevy Silverado3500. Both offer similar torque and more horsepower.
