Skoda’s most popular car will be given a new, more elegant look in its fourth generation.
Our artist tried to predict the future of the Skoda Octavia. He rendered the fourth generation Czech Golf with a practical wagon body. Since then, spy shots of the popular compact car have surfaced, including prototypes with the full production bodies. Kolesa.ru, our friends, decided to use Photoshop to digitally remove the disguise to try to see the future of the modern Octavia IV.
This is It:
The spy images have all shown the wagon. However, the next rendering shows the hatchback. Skoda already stated that the car’s body style will be the same as the sedan, but with the added convenience of a convertible. The new Octavia is portrayed digitally with a sleeker look and slimmer headlights than the previous-gen model.
The front fog lights are a borrowing from the facelifted Superb, where Skoda’s flagship model has an LED horizontal bar in its front bumper. The taillights extend to the rear and are similar to the Scala’s, but larger to fit the car’s larger footprint.
Mlada Boleslav is likely to make the new Octavia the next car to ditch the corporate badge at its back for the “SKODA” lettering. This will echo the aforementioned Superb, Scala, and also the Kamiq. This rendering shows the ghastly fake exhaust finishes we are seeing more of, but hopefully that will not be the case with real things.
Skoda already stated that the next Octavia will be introduced later in the year. We might have a chance to see it in person at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
