The A-pillar’s rake is slightly higher and the roofline flows smoother to the rear deck. This result gives the A-pillar a more aerodynamic and sleek look than its predecessor’s more upright design.

Interior
The cabin’s exterior has been upgraded with soft-touch materials and visible stitching on the dashboard and doors. The updated interior looks more elegant when combined with the metallic trim. The heated seats have three settings instead of two and the heating reaches the shoulders to keep the occupants warm. An auxiliary jack, two 12-volt DC outlets and four USB ports are included in the connectivity. Two of these outlets can be found in front, while two others are located in the back.
Powertrain
Subaru has also updated the Legacy’s engine options. The 2.5-liter flat-four-cylinder engine is still available. It now produces 182 horsepower, 176 pound-feet and 175 hp in the current sedan, while it used to produce 175 hp, 174 lb.ft and 175 hp. The fuel economy has also improved. According to the company, the 2020 model will get 27 mpg city and 35 highway. The current model is rated at 25 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway by EPA.
Subie’s 3.6 liter flat-six is now gone from Legacy’s lineup. A 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder boxer four-cylinder will replace it. The new mill produces 260 horsepower and 277 pounds-feet, as opposed to 256 hp or 247 lb.ft of the old six. The turbo four’s estimated fuel economy is 24 mpg in the city and 32 on the highway, compared to the old six-cylinder’s 20 mpg and 28 highway.
