2020 Toyota Supra Front Design Leaked In Revealing Spy Photo

The aggressive front design remains true to the FT-1 concept.

The highly anticipated unveiling of the Toyota Supra is just a month away, but we don’t have to wait for the 2019 Detroit Auto Show to see its front fascia. The SupraMKVforums has published an image that shows what appears to be a production-ready Supra.

The BMW Z4’s alter ego was found resting on the back of a truck. This allowed us to get a clear view of the aggressive front design that was shown in the FT-1 concept almost five years ago. This is a side-byside comparison that shows how the styling has changed from concept to production.

The idea’s pointed nose has been streamlined for the road-going car. It will have larger LED headlights, a hood that is less dramatic and no transparent panel to show its engine. The Supra’s side air intakes are just as large as those on the FT-1, and they flank a central part that gives it a very aggressive appearance. One question that comes to mind is where will they put the license plate?

We can see the double-bubble roof and the blacked out A-pillars. The folded black side mirror caps are all identical to the render that we shared a few months back. It was not just a shot in dark, as was actually based upon leaked parts guide images. Another digital image was included in the same set that showed the interior of the Supra.

Now, we are eager to see if the FT-1 concept will have a Supra counterpart with its luscious derriere. The showcar’s front ends have been reflected on the production model so it should be the same story with the rear of the coupe. Here’s a quick refresher on the concept’s back compared to a spy shot of the fifth-gen Supra with the hotter GR trim.
