Who wouldn’t love a red/mocha interior?
Officially, the first Aston Martin SUV has been unveiled. The DBX was finally camouflaged for the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. Initial impressions are very positive. Apart from its distinctive Aston-themed appearance, the DBX produces 542 horsepower (404 kilowatts), from a familiar 4.0L twin-turbo V8. The DBX can accelerate the SUV, weighing in at 5,000 lbs, to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. This is almost as fast as the drain it will cause on your bank account. This posh, high-performance people mover starts at $192 986.
Aston already has a configurator for the DBX, and it’s almost as difficult as buying one. Aston lists core packages as well as lifestyle packages. It also offers exterior options, interior materials, interior features and overall options. We are confident that there are many ways to configure a DBX. However, this is not our most costly post. Aston Martin does not list the pricing for various packages and options. However, it doesn’t mean that we can’t have some fun building an awesome SUV.
The 1913 Specification is essentially a launch version DBX, and it gets all the special treatment to be the first SUV. The special model is identified by badges and inspection plaques. We also love the 16-way ventilated front seat. The Convenience Package adds a power tailgate, gesture control, parking assistance, and other tech.
The Essentials Package includes a heated cupholder and a cupholder – essential things – and DBX is not complete without the DB Elegance package, which adds snazzy quilted interior surfaces. should purchase the Pet Package – Aston Martin does offer a luxurious package for pets, but we will use the Mercedes-Benz GT1_ for such tasks. The Adventure Package adds roof crossbars and mud flaps to the vehicle, as well as wet bag storage and heavy-duty tread plates. We are after all an SUV, so we will complete the package with the Touring Package because we love the four-piece luggage set it comes with.
The Q Palette has Scorpus Red available as a color option. Gloss Black Diamond Diamond Turned 22-inch wheels look fantastic with this color. Red calipers to match it are an easy choice. We’re going crazy with the interior. It will be a mix of Spicy Red, Dark Mocha and more red for contrast stitching. We can’t help but wonder what we can say. We are tired of boring interiors and this is definitely more interesting than boring. We’re not interested in boring interiors, so we are skipping all the other options.
Aston Martin states that the configurator is a guideline and that items can be changed at any time. Aston Martin also recommends that shoppers visit an Aston Martin dealer to discuss next steps. We don’t know how much the red-and-ready DBX will cost in real life but expect it to be around $250,000. Is it worth the money? We want to hear your opinions about our DBX build.
