There is nothing left to hide at this point.
BMW has nothing left to hide at this point. We’ve known for years that the new 4 series with its mega-grille has been revealed. The new spy images show BMW’s boldest yet with its test cars.
The controversial design direction is not for everyone, but it’s clear that there’s something going on behind the grille. The twin-turbocharged, B58 inline-6 will produce over 500 horsepower (373kW) in the top-tier models. The standard will have a dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.
Motoring purists still have the option to drive the car with a six-speed manual and row the gears, which send power to the rear wheels. We don’t think the “Pure” model will be available with the high output engine. However, it has only 358 kW (358 hp) and we expect enthusiasts to get along just fine.
Fans won’t have long to wait. BMW has confirmed that the new M4 will be available in September. The long-awaited M3 sedan will be unveiled at the gala. The M3 will have a traditional look similar to the rest of the current 3Series line.
