The Shadow Edition is available in BMW Individual Frozen Arctic Grey. This is a dark grey color with a matte finish. Extended Shadowline trim adds high gloss black pieces to the door trim and B- and C pillar covers, base and roof rails, kidney grille and around the air inlets at the front fascia. Black chrome tips are used for the trapezoidal exhaust outlets. The crossover is mounted on 22-inch Vspoke wheels in Jett Black.
Merino leather upholstery is found inside, in a two-tone combination of Night Blue and Black. Night Blue Alcantara is the headliner. Nappa leather covers the dashboard, doors, and armrests. Black Merino leather is used for the bottom section of dashboard and seatbacks. The lower console has a Piano Black trim.

The Shadow Edition comes standard with a variety of optional packages. This limited-run vehicle includes the Driving Assistance Professional Package and Cold Weather Package as well as the Luxury Seating Package and Executive Package.

Shadow Edition offers two options for seating: a second row of captain’s chairs or a bench that can accommodate three people.

The Dark Shadow Edition uses X7 M50i model for its starting point. This model is powered by a BMW N63 4.4-liter twin turbo V8 that produces 523 horsepower (390 Kilowatts) as well as 553 pound-feet (775 Newton-meters) in torque. The model has an eight-speed auto gearbox with all-wheel driving and a two-axle air suspension. The big crossover is stopped by M Sport brakes.

The X7 Dark Shadow Edition is $119,495 plus a $995 destination charge. Americans can make a $1,000 refundable deposit on July 23 at 6:01 PM EDT (10:01 GMT). Production for the US begins in Q4 2020. The limited-run crossover is available in August for the rest of the world.
