It’s easy to look familiar, but it is completely new underneath.

Just a week remains until the debut of next-generation Cadillac Escalade in Los Angeles. It will likely be on sale in the second half the year, as a 2021 model. To help us better understand what to expect, the automaker has released a few teasers. Our Kolesa.ru colleagues have also created these renderings. It’s not hard to see the Chevy Suburban’s more prestigious cousin. These revealing spy photographs were taken in December 2013. These virtual drawings only add details that aren’t visible in the spy photos. They include the exact design and appearance of the lower bumper grille, as well as the impressive rear end with two massive LED light clusters.

The underpinnings for Cadillac’s flagship SUV will be redesigned, unlike the evolution exterior. The rear axle will be replaced with a multi-link independent suspension. Other new technologies include paddle shifters, Super Cruise, and other modern technologies.

Cadillac has teaser images that show the interior of the luxury sport utility vehicle have shown it will receive a huge 38-inch OLED display. This is a first in the industry according to Cadillac. The good news is that the Escalade’s cabin won’t be identical to the Chevrolet Suburban’s. Instead, Caddy will create its own layout.

Although initially it was believed that the performance version will be powered by the company’s twin-turbo Blackwing V8 engine, recent reports suggest that a supercharged V8 of 6.2-liter capacity is more likely to make its way under the hood. According to the rumours, an all-electric version of the Escalade will be available by mid-2023. It will be built at the Detroit-Hamtramck plant.
