The complete reveal is set for September 29.
After a preview last week Dacia published the first official images for the third-generation Sandero. The official images of the third-generation Sandero will be available at the end the month. The Sandero Stepway is shown alongside the regular supermini. This crossover version of the subcompact hatchback was created to capitalize on the SUV boom, which shows no signs slowing down.
The Sandero has a modern design and is powered by the Renault Clio platform. Dacia is not giving any details at this time, but it does say that the car now has a wider track and a lower roofline. The door handles have been removed from the top, and a new Y-shaped light sign has been introduced by the Romanian brand. This might remind you of a Lamborghini.
A new Logan is also available as a practical sedan option with a much larger cargo space. It is slightly longer than the predecessor, but this should mean a larger cabin. Dacia also says that the Logan will have a smaller greenhouse, making it more appealing from the side.
Although we will have to wait until September 29 to see the full unveiling, it is obvious that the dashboard has undergone major updates. This assumption is based on the appearance of the touchscreen, which appears to be sticking out from central console. This setup has been seen on both prototypes and the Clio mechanically related, so there are no surprises.
After looking at these images, what else can we see? The radar is mounted in the lower grille. It also has the front parking sensors and side turn signals. Rear drum brakes will not be available on 2020 cars, however, some lower-spec Clios do have them.
The Logan looks great for a low-cost car. It has surprisingly high-quality headrests in front. And that black dot on driver’s side door could be a button to unlock the keyless entry. The windshield has sensors that confirm that Dacia is releasing more technologically advanced cars. However, we had hoped for integrated radio antennas. To follow the same arrangement as the Duster SUV, the latter was moved to the rear.
These cars will be available in certain markets bearing the Renault logo. However, they will almost match the Dacia-badged models. The global players will be the Sandero and Sandero Stepway, as the Logan isn’t available in every market where Dacia is present.
