January 9, 2017. January 9, 2017. That was when Ford confirmed the return to the Bronco at Detroit Auto Show. The Blue Oval also announced that the Ranger would be returning. Although the pickup truck has been in existence for some time in the United States, the reputable SUV will soon be making waves. Although the official unveiling date was delayed a few times, the Bronco is finally here.
It is worth noting that Ford will be introducing more than one model. In fact, the entire Bronco family will be unveiled in the next hours. In the press release, the words “Bronco lineup”, are repeated several times. The premiere will be held at 8 PM Eastern. Early adopters can reserve their Bronco of preference for $100 from that point forward.
Many spy photos and teasers have shown that the Bronco’s revival – after its demise in 1996, will keep true to its boxy shape and design cues. Although it won’t look as cool as the 2004 Bronco design, it will still be retro enough to please purists after Ford put the Mustang badge on an electrical SUV.
There isn’t much mystery as to the Bronco models that we will be seeing today. The teasers previously showed three versions of the off-roader: a 2-Door, 4-Door and a Sport. While the Bronco Sport was more crossover-like to indicate a road-oriented unibody, the first two seemed to be Ford’s eagerly awaited Jeep Wrangler/Wrangler Unlimited competitor.
Ford has been a bit elusive about details concerning its much-hyped Bronco revival. However, we know that there will be seven drive modes, including sand, dirt and GOAT. We also have recent spy photos that show a large portion of the interior cabin.
There are many things we don’t know about the Bronco. The details about the engines, gearboxes and off-road chops are still a mystery. However, all will be revealed within a few hours. Tonight’s world reveal will feature all the details and complete photos of all three Bronco members.
