You can also get standard wireless CarPlay or Android Auto.
The 2021 Ford Edge comes with a 12-inch infotainment screen to replace the 8-inch screen. It runs the Sync 4A software and has built-in navigation with traffic information.
With the 2021 Edge’s larger screen, owners can split the display into multiple windows. This allows them to view navigation instructions and change the stereo. It also supports Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. The software supports voice recognition and conversational voice recognition.
Two more USB ports are added to the cabin of the 2021 Edge, making it four. One of the new plugs supports USB -C.
The outside is unchanged. New body colors are available in Carbonized Gray or Lithium Gray. There are nine options for wheels, ranging from the standard 18-inch Sparkle Silver-painted pieces on the SE to the 21-inch gloss black-painted design on the Edge ST.
In June, rumors suggested that Ford might retire the Edge in 2023 to make way for a new vehicle. In 2019, the Blue Oval had 138,515 crossover deliveries. Although this was a respectable figure, it was still significantly less than the 241,388 Escape units and 168.309 Explorers in the same time period. Volume dropped to 76.862 vehicles in the third trimester, a drop of 23.8 percent from the previous year.
Ford may soon add the Bronco to its range of SUVs and crossovers, and the Bronco Sport could be the next product.
