It is safe to say Genesis took its time launching its first SUV. However, we are happy to announce that the official unveiling of the GV80 will take place later in the month. Hyundai’s luxury brand published some images showing its luxobarge, which will be very similar to the concept nearly three years ago. 2021 Genesis GV80 2017 Genesis GV80 concept You’d expect the same differences between the road-going and preceding showcar, including the switch to traditional door handles and traditional sidemirrors. On the GV80 production-ready , the two LED strips serving as headlights are more long. The intricate pattern that was applied to the B-and C-pillars has been replaced with a simple glossy black finish. However, it has been streamlined for production. The dashboard’s center screen features the infotainment screen, which is extremely large. A secondary screen displays the HVAC settings.
The slim air vents give the illusion that they extend across the entire width of your dash. Also visible is the extensive use of wood trim at the lower center console as well as the door cards. Zoom in to see a digital instrument cluster as well as what appears like a two-spoke steering column. This is all Genesis has to say for now. But we will soon have more details as the GV80 will debut later in the month, when South Korean sales kick off. The global launch is scheduled for later in 2020.
