The Venue , Palisade and the Palisade have been added to Hyundai’s crossover lineup. Now, Hyundai is finishing up the Tucson. The current generation has been in production since 2004, and it was introduced around five years ago. This means that a new compact crossover version is on the horizon. We believe Hyundai has created something unique for the next generation Tucson after seeing the striking designs of the Elantra sedan and Sonata sedans. Other crossovers from Hyundai aren’t exactly boring either. The Palisade and Venue bring a new look to the company, while the Santa Fe has an intriguing design that will be updated soon. We can all agree that Hyundai’s crossovers have a lot of personality, thanks to the unique designs of the Nexo and Kona models.
The redesign of Tucson will include hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. This is expected to happen later in the year. While a warm N Line version is available in certain parts of the globe, Hyundai plans to launch a full fat N model with at minimum 340 horsepower. This will allow for a 0-62mph (0-100 km/h), time of less than six seconds. It is likely that a Tucson N will not be released immediately. Expect a reveal in the second half or early 2022.
