2021 Kia Stinger Revealed with a Discreet Facelift and Upgraded Interior

The designers of Kia must have thought “if it isn’t broken, don’t fix.”

The 2021 Hyundai Stinger has finally arrived after what seemed like an endless series of spy shots. Although it might seem like the same model, there are subtle differences. The headlights have a new design, modified daytime running lights, and a darker tint.

The main design change is located at the rear. This new gran tourer features a full width brake light and turn signals. There are 10 LEDs that form a checkered flag pattern. The 2021 Kia Stinger will have larger exhaust tips, giving it a more aggressive appearance.

Kia created new alloy wheels in 18-inch and 19-inch sizes, and added two additional packages. Available in many global markets, the Dark Package will include a glossy black rear diffuser as well as a dark finish for exhaust tips and rear badge. The Black Package is available in North America with 19-inch wheels that are finished in matte black and a rear wing. There’s also a black treatment for the mirror caps and side fender trim.

The most noticeable change in the cabin is the 10.25-inch infotainment, which replaces the old 8.0 inch setup. Kia claims that the interior materials are more durable than ever before. Customers will be able to choose from aluminum or faux-carbon fiber trim for their center console. Ambient lighting has been updated and now offers 64 colors to create a warm atmosphere.

The 2021 Stinger will come in a variety interior packages, each with different colors and Nappa leather upholstery. The car’s mid-cycle upgrade has included new contrast stitching. There will also be leather and synthetic leather options.

The engine options are still unknown, but the turbocharged four-cylinder unit of 300 horsepower and the twin-turbo V6 3.5-liter twin turbine mill from the Genesis G80 could be found under the Stinger’s hood.

It’s important to note that the “E” badge in these images is a South Korean issue. Only the KDM-spec Stinger has this. The global version will feature the revised badge Kia, which has been seen a few times.

The 2021 Stinger will be available in the first quarter of this year in the domestic market, before being made available in other countries.
