The actual car will be revealed later in the year.
The refreshed Mercedes-Benz E-Class is in the works. A few days ago , the automaker teased their arrival with photos of lightly camouflaged prototypes spotted in Las Vegas. The updates are subtle but obvious. They include minor changes to the front fascia, a redesign of the backside and new taillight designs. Nikita Chuyko from Kolesa.ru created some renderings to show how the new model might appear based on these official photos.
These renderings show a base E-Class sedan with smaller headlights and a larger grille. There is also a large, connected vent at the bottom of the fascia. The rear view shows a new taillight design, which is in line with the thin, horizontally-oriented lenses of the CLS class. The decklid has been updated to accommodate the new lights. However, the lower part of the rear fascia is left largely unchanged.
This is a conservative update to the E-Class. But there are more things happening inside. In an interior that is familiar, a redesigned steering wheel will be the focal point. All technology will be powered by the latest MBUX system. The refreshed E-Class will also feature numerous driver safety and assistance systems that can control acceleration, braking, steering, and more. The lineup will include seven plug-in hybrid models, which range from sedans to wagons and 4MATIC options. Mercedes has not yet revealed the exact date for the facelifted E-Class, but it will be arriving in Europe first. Its European debut is expected to take place in summer 2020. The car will then be available for purchase worldwide.
