Mini revealed the Mini Convertible Sidewalk edition’s first details in 2020. This marked the return to the Sidewalk moniker within the open-top range. The special edition convertible will be available in the United States beginning next month, according to the British automaker.

The cabriolet’s funky design will arrive in America in a Cooper S form. It will have a 189-horsepower (414-kilowatt), four-cylinder turbo-turbo engine that can accelerate in 6.7 seconds.

The 2021 Convertible Sidewalk Edition comes with a suggested retail price (MSRP) at $38,400 and an $850 destination & handling fee. The standard open-top Mini will come with a six speed manual gearbox. An optional seven-speed dual clutch automatic will also be available. The base price will be increased by $1,500 with the DCT gearbox.

The new Mini convertible special edition will be offered in the USA with two exterior paints: Deep Laguna Metallic or Mini Yours Enigmatic Black Metallic. Both are complemented by an anthracite soft top roof. Standard equipment includes full-LED headlights with fog lamps and 17-inch wheels in two-tone, head-up display and keyless access. Power-folding side mirrors, Harman/Kardon premium sound system, heated front seats and many other features.
