[UPDATE] The leaked images incorrectly identified the truck as the Frontier for U.S. markets based on the engraved letters at the tailgate and the grille outline. This is the Frontier-style facelifted Navara, as we have learned. We are sorry for any confusion this story may have caused.
We all know the new 2021 Nissan Frontier is coming. Nissan also provided teasers in its A-Z video, including images of its revamped midsize pickup truck. The Frontier was also seen during testing in August, so in motoring terms, it is likely to make its debut.
The Frontier was actually supposed to be unveiled in September, but it was delayed by obvious contagious reasons.
You need not worry, leaked images of Frontier have surfaced via a series of photos from FormaCar.com. These photos can be viewed below.
These photos show two Frontiers. The white Frontier is the traditional model, with the thicker chrome bezels lining the new grille. It also has Frontier written on it. The daytime running lights are squared off and more sharp than the Proto.
The new Frontier is reminiscent of the larger Nissan Titan, with its unique lamp shape and configuration. The bottom of the tailgate also has Frontier, the example being an LE 4×4 variant that is based on the badge.
In the leaked images, there’s another Frontier. This one looks more like a PRO-4X. It is exactly what you would expect from a sporty version: it’s de-chromed, comes with bigger tires and comes equipped with a front brushbar.
These images should be taken with a grain-of-salt, though. We are tempted to believe these images are the production Frontier that has been 16 years in the making. However, let’s do our due diligence and wait for official launch.
