2021 Porsche 911 4S Targa Heritage Edition Debuts, Looks Cherry

Only 992 are being produced by the company.

The 2021 Porsche 911 Targa 4S Heritage Edition celebrates the brand’s history with design details that recall the 1950s and 1960s. As a reference to the new generation’s internal designation, the company will only make 992 units. Prices start at $180,000. Plus a $1350 destination fee. Deliveries in the USA will begin in 2020. This is also the first of four Heritage Design models.

Cherry Metallic is the Targa Heritage Edition’s trademark exterior color. However, there are four other colors that can be used if this one is not to your liking. Contrast is achieved by the vibrant white stripes along the lower portion of the body and the top of its front fenders. Carrera Exclusive Design five-spoke Carrera Exclusive Design wheels are used for this special edition model. They evoke the classic Fuchs design.

The emblems are made of gold as a nod to Porsches dating back to the 1950s. A special badge is also found on the rear decklid grille. It’s based on one that was available to owners of a Porsche356carrying 100,000 km.

Buyers can choose from two-tone leather options inside: Atacama Beige and Bordeaux Red (pictured above), or Black and Atacama Beige. As a reference to Porsche 356’s interior, there is corduroy in the middle of the seats and trim. The headrests have the brand’s logo embossed. The gauges get green numerals.

This model is mechanically identical to the newly revealed 911 Targa4S. The engine’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-6 makes 443 horsepower (330kilowatts) as well as 390 pound-feet (529 Newton meters). You have the option of a seven-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed dual clutch gearbox.

Buyers will have the option to order a Porsche Design watch in a specific color that matches their car.
