Europeans will finally be able to purchase the Carrera models with a seven speed manual gearbox.

The Porsche 911 sports car is constantly in development. Zuffenhausen’s powerful performance machine is constantly evolving, whether it be by adding new features or getting derivatives. Porsche has launched the seven-speed manual in Europe, replacing the stick-shift model for the U.S-spec Carrera models. This feature is only available if you purchase the Sport Chrono Package. It now features a digital temperature indicator for your tires in the instrument cluster, trickling down from the 992 TurboS. It is also available on U.S. models. It shows the color blue when tires are cold, and white when rubber has reached the ideal temperature to give the best grip.

The Carrera 4S with a manual transmission is 45 kg (nearly 100 lb) lighter than its PDK counterpart. This is another reason to choose the three-pedal version. As part of the Sport Chrono Package, Carrera models with a clutch pedal have an automatic rev-match function. This kit includes dynamic engine mounts, stopwatches, the Porsche Track Precision App and a switch to change between the available drive modes. Porsche has also added what it calls the InnoDrive option to its range of options for the 911. The PDK models can adjust adaptive cruise control automatically by predicting driving speed up to three kilometers (nearly 2 miles) ahead of time using navigation data, as well as camera and radar sensors.

An optional Smartlift function, which is available for all 911 models, extends the front axle lift system. It uses pre-programmed GPS coordinates and raises the car’s nose approximately 40 millimeters (1.6 in). Similar functionality is also available in the Chevy corvette C8.

A retro-looking leather package, reminiscent of the original 911 Turbo (930), continues the list of changes made by the model year change. It is available on Carrera models and includes quilted seat centers (front and back), quilted doors cards and other leather trims from Porsche Exclusive Manufactur.

A coupe is now available with an optional lightweight and noise-insulated glass. This reduces weight by over four kilograms (nearly 9 pounds). The 2021MY updates include this vibrant Python Green exterior color, and the Ambient Light Design Pack with seven different colors.
