2021 Ram TRX has its first accident before leaving the plant

Oops.

Although we aren’t sure, it’s possible that someone is in trouble at Ram’s production plant. The embedded Instagram post and the image above show that a 2021 RAM TRX has had its first accident (most probable). Worse, the vehicle has not yet left the factory.

The below in-factory photo was brought to our attention by sinister_lifestyle via Instagram. Auto publication The Drive stated that they reached out to the Instagrammer as well as the Ram to get more information, but to no avail.

Ram has started production of the long-awaited Hellcat-powered Ram 1550 earlier this month. While the first truck to leave the line will be going to charity , it won’t necessarily be this side-standing truck. The damage to the driver’s side is evident in the above image. You can also see that the rear-right fender has been battered.

Although it is not clear if the photo was taken at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant, Michigan, many commenters to the Instagram post provided unverified details. Other commenters pointed out that the truck is inoperable, and one said that it will be taken to a scrapyard.

It is safe to assume that no one was hurt in the accident. We’ll find out more as we get them.

The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX deliveries were expected to begin by the end this year. However, I am writing this story close the NYE. We’ll likely hear more about the first delivery. This wrecked sample was not included.
