October is the start of sales
Subaru unveiled the new Outback in April 2019. It went on sale a few months later with a price tag of $26,645. The rugged wagon and the Legacy are now entering the 2021 model-year with a modest price increase as well as a few equipment upgrades.
These two models will be available in the company’s showrooms starting October. Prices for the 2012 Legacy (22,895) and 2021 Outback (2021 Outback) start at $22,795 and $26,795 respectively without destination or delivery. These prices are $150 more than the 2020 prices for both cars.
All Outback and Legacy models will receive cornering full-LED headlights (low and high beam) as standard equipment for the 2021 model year. The Outback Touring XT, Legacy Touring XT, and the top-of-the-line Outback Touring XT are available for purchase starting at $40,995 or $37,070 respectively. Prices for 2020 MY were $35,895 and $39,695.
There will be six trim levels for the 2021 Legacy: Base, Premium and Sport. Limited XT is also available. All models include Subaru’s symmetrical four-wheel drive system and either a 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated or 2.4-liter turbocharged engines.
The 2021 Outback will still be available in the Base, Premium and Limited trims. The Premium trim now has a new color, Brilliant Bronze Metallic, and two options that add goodies like a hands-free electric tailgate (keyless access), moonroof, larger infotainment screen, and keyless entry.
