The 2021 Volkswagen Atlas crossover arrives with refreshed styling. It looks more like its Atlas Cross Sport brother. The new model will be available this spring. VW will provide pricing details closer to the launch.
Buyers can choose from a turbocharged four-cylinder of 235 horsepower (175 kW) or a V6 of 276 horsepower (206 kW). No matter what engine choice, an eight-speed automatic will be available. On the higher trim levels, both will be available with all-wheel-drive, rather than front-wheel drive.
The standard 8-inch infotainment screen is found inside, with the exception of the base S trim. The steering wheel has been redesigned to include multi-function functions. You can choose from a digital gauge cluster or updated stereo. There are also three-zone climate control, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats and ventilated back seats. All models come with a suite of driver assistance technology, including Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Monitoring, Blind Spot monitor, and Rear Traffic Alarm. There are several upgrades available to the system: Lane Keeping System with Stop and Go and Lane Keeping Control with Park Distance Control, Park Steering Assistance, Park Distance Control, Park Steering System, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Traffic Alert, Overhead View Camera and Traffic Jam Assist.
