Our spy photographers captured the VW Atlas being tested in Death Valley, California last week. The only camouflaged parts of the VW Atlas were the rear fascia and the front clip. This suggests a subtle update. The Kolesa.ru team was impatient and created a rendering of the 2021 Atlas. It’s not difficult to see the differences between this Atlas and the one on the market. These changes are subtle.

Spy photos suggested a larger grille and new headlights. These are all visible on the Atlas rendering. The vertically-oriented driving lamps, which are pushed to the lower corners by the front fascia, are also present. The rendering gives the three row SUV more presence than its predecessor, but maybe it’s because of the contrast between the exterior color and the darker front design elements. The rear is much more subtle. We only noticed the redesign of the taillights in spy photos.
Other changes between 2020 and 2021 Volkswagen They are unknown. It is possible that the interior will be updated. The powertrains are still a mystery. There is a good chance that the existing powertrains will remain unchanged. Future Atlas buyers will have the option of a 2.0-liter turbofour-cylinder that produces 235 horsepower (175kW) or a 3.6 liter V6 that pumps out 276 HP (206kW). The eight-speed automatic transmission will drive both the front and all four wheels.
Its styling is very similar to the Atlas Cross Sport which is a two-row SUV that we tested earlier in the year. It is expected to be available for sale in 2020. The refreshed Atlas model will likely be available as a 2021 model.
