2021 VW Polo Facelift Revealed Based on Spy Shots

It is expected to debut in the second half of this year.

Volkswagen will refresh its subcompact Polo model in 2021. We were able to get a sneak peek at one of the most beloved European cars of the brand earlier this week through a series of spy photos. The photos were turned into a virtual rendering by Kolesa.ru to show the various visual adjustments the Polo will undergo.

Volkswagen’s clever camouflage used to conceal the vehicle Polo Although the facelift was not complete, we were able to take a closer look at the details. However, it appears that the front fascia will see the most revisions. These changes could include new LED daytime running lamps, a redesign of the lower bumper, larger air intakes and a new radiator grille.

The most noticeable change at the rear is the extension of the hatch’s taillights. This is the result of spy photos. Our Russian friends also thought it was a smart idea to give the hatchback Golf-inspired taillights. There could also be minor adjustments to the bumper’s lower portion.

Apart from design improvements, it seems logical that Volkswagen will offer the Polo a new engine lineup that meets Europe’s stricter emission standards. This will also lower the company’s average emissions levels. We anticipate at least one mild hybrid powertrain, and it’s possible that the diesel options will be discontinued.

The refreshed Polo is expected to be launched by Volkswagen later in the year, but Skoda will unveil the new generation Fabia. The Czech model will finally be available in a hatchback and a wagon on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB A0 platform.
