A new gear selector is installed in the interior.
Buick unveiled the redesign of the Enclave in January. However, only showed the SUV’s exterior. While the brand provided two images of the redesign, it did not provide any information on what would happen to the model year 2022. Buick will provide a complete rundown of all the changes to the model today, but they are minor, as this is a midcycle refresh for the SUV.
Its exterior design is the most important change. The 2022 Enclave will have a bigger grille and redesigned front- and rear bumpers. It also has slim LED daytime running lamps, new headlights that are low in the grille and revamped taillights. Although the profile is unchanged from the previous model, there will be new wheel designs, including a 20-inch version. Buick has provided photos of the Avenir trim. It will have a distinctive front and rear fascia, a unique grille and other unique goodies.
The interior of the Enclave was expected to be significantly redesigned, but that has not been the case. Except for the new push-button electronic transmission, the interior remains virtually unchanged in 2022. Buick claims that the model will be equipped with premium soft-touch materials, but we believe the Avenir trim will have the best. The Avenir will have heated and ventilated front seats with massage, unique interior trim, and seat patterns. It also has enhanced automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.
Buick also offers the Enclave many safety features, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and lane-keep assistance, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and rear cross traffic alert. Standard kit includes Android Auto and Wireless Apple CarPlay. The 2022 Enclave will be available with the same 310-horsepower (231 kilowatts) 3.6-liter V6 engine and nine-speed auto transmission as the current model. All-wheel drive is available as an option. Front-wheel drive is the standard.
