Chevrolet will be updating its SUVs for the 2022 model-year, following the release of the new Silverado. Both the Suburban and Tahoe 2022 will be getting upgrades at both the digital and analog ends of the spectrum.
The popular 6.2L V8 engine, rated at 309-kilowatts (342-horsepower), is now available in the RST, Z71 and Premier trims for the 2022 model year. Standard equipment on the High Country model is this eight-pot mill.
Customers who choose the 6.2-liter V8 engine for the Tahoe or Suburban RST will be able to get Magnetic Ride Control –Premier and High Country.
The 5.3-liter V8 is still the standard engine for LS, LT and Z71 models. However, the optional Duramax 3.0L turbo diesel is available for all models except Z71. All Tahoe and Suburban models come with a 10-speed automatic transmission equipped with push-button electronic shifting.
Electronic limited-slip differentials are now available for improved traction. It can be ordered in 4WD Low with the Z71 off-road-oriented Z71. This will give you better offroading chops, and prevent wheel slippage in dirt and mud.
Technology bits have also been updated for the Suburban and Tahoe 2022. The Chevy SUVs have 13 unique camera views. This includes a 12.3-inch-diagonal configurable, digital instrument cluster for LT trims.
Google built-in is also available on the 2022 Tahoe, Suburban and LT trims. Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play will be available to drivers on the vehicle display. This can also work with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
