2022 Dacia Jogger Named for New 7-Seat Family Vehicle

You can also choose from five seats.

The Logan MCV (Multi Convivial Vehicle/ Maximum Capacity vehicle) is gone. Instead, Dacia’s new Jogger smallish family car is now available. The Renault-owned marque will reveal the car’s outdoory name ahead of Friday’s online debut. It uses the same “er” suffix as the popular Duster SUV.

New teaser video seems to confirm that we are talking about a wagon version Logan sedan/Sandero hatchback. It features rugged Stepway cues as well as the same beautiful orange paint. This video shows quarter glass popping out, along with the same clever roof bars as the Sandero Stepway. They can be placed transversely or longitudinally.

The Jogger is available with five or seven seats. It has Volvo-esque rear lights with Dacia’s Y-shaped graphics. The standard LEDs used for daytime running lights and short beam should be retained in the headlights. They are likely to have been carried over from the Logan/Sandero twins.

Although the interior cabin has yet to be seen, Dacia is all about cost-cutting and dropping prices. The dashboard will almost be the same as the Sandero Stepway. The three-row layout, or the two-row configuration that has a large cargo area behind each seat, will make it much more practical.

Although Dacia is a great deal for the money, many complain about the lack of a stronger engine in the Logan or Sandero. The Jogger may offer a four-cylinder engine, or a sedan or hatchback with turbocharged and naturally aspirated three-pot engines. A beefier engine would be logical considering that the wagon will be larger and heavier than the sedan and hatchback duos, particularly with seven passengers or the entire cargo area.

The new Dacia Jogger will debut at IAA Munich next week, following the September 3 world premiere. It will be available for purchase either at the end of the year or in early 2022.
