It is $6,000. less than the Wrangler Rubicon 3392.
Ford unveiled the 2022 Bronco Raptor this morning, adding a nice halo model to its off-roader lineup. Ford has branded it as a 2022 model. It should be on showroom floors by late this year. The price will include the $1,495 destination charge.
Ford did not provide details on options and packages. However, we expect Ford’s extensive list of aftermarket parts to increase the price. The starting MSRP of the Bronco Raptor is lower than the Wrangler Rubicon. The starting MSRP is just below $76,000, including the destination fee. However, there are differences between them like what lies underneath their hoods.
The Bronco Raptor is powered by the 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine. Ford has not provided any specific information about the specs, but we do know that the engine produces 400 horsepower (298 Kilowatts) as well as 415 pound-feet (563 Newton meters) in the Explorer ST. The Bronco’s engine will receive a special tune and an upgraded intake system. This should help to increase those numbers. It might not be as powerful as the Wrangler. It has a naturally-aspirated 6.4-liter V8 that produces 475 horsepower (354 kW) as well as 470 lb/ft (637 Nm), of torque.
The Bronco Raptor is a significant upgrade to the standard model. The suspension is vastly improved and can increase travel by as much as 60 percent and 40% respectively front and back, respectively, compared to the entry-level model. The vehicle’s ground clearance is now 13.1 inches. The Bronco gets a wider track (8.6 inches to be exact), wider fenders and many visual upgrades that distinguish it from the standard Bronco. The two will not be confused.
Ford Bronco Raptor should be available for purchase later in the year. Ford has designated it a 2022 version, but Ford and many other automakers are having difficulty rolling out new vehicles. When we have a better idea of the packages and accessories that Ford will offer, we should know the engine specs for the Bronco Raptor.
