All of this will be revealed during the first quarter 2022.
It’s not surprising that the truck’s front grille and headlights look almost identical. However, the bumper has a slightly different design and features new chrome trim around the fog lamps. It’s tough SUV thanks to its excellent ground clearance and suspension travel. The Ranger’s distinctive chunky side steps are evident, as well as the plastic trim pieces on the front fenders. The rear looks very interesting, with its L-shaped taillights and an intertwined tailgate. It is hard to believe that the clusters may extend beyond Ford’s current display. It could be a black bar at the tailgate, or camouflage is being used to hide the LED light bar.
The interior images are not shown in the teaser. However, we don’t expect any major changes to the pickup other than the addition of a third row, now that the Ranger’s bed has been removed. The base model’s infotainment screen should measure 10.2 inches, while the higher-spec models will have 12 inches. SYNC4 will be available onboard. There will also be improved materials and a more sleek gear lever. A new turbodiesel 3.0-liter V6 engine will replace the inline-five oil burner. Lesser versions will be powered with a twin-turbodiesel 2.0 liter unit. For the first time, a plug-in hybrid version of the vehicle will be offered. In some markets, EcoBoost gasoline engines may also be available. We haven’t yet heard any news about the Everest receiving what is believed to be an engine gasoline V6 for the Ranger Raptor, which will break cover in February. Ford claims it will finish the body-on-frame SUV’s overhaul in the first quarter 2022.
