A few accessories can really bring life to the conservative compact.
The Honda Civic Hatchback was unveiled on June 23. Honda already has a small selection of accessories in stock to make it more stylish. Honda’s Japanese website has a brief description of the items that will be available for the hatch this fall. However, it is not clear if these items will be made available in other markets.
The hatchback’s exterior is covered in most of its components, as you would expect. The front of the hatchback is Honda with a lower skirt. This adds an extra bit of aggression to its fascia. There are door mirror covers available. A rear wing can be placed above the thin lip spoiler at the back. You can also get an upgraded set. Honda does not mention tinted rain shields on the side windows. However, Honda has shown them in photos.
Honda also mentions some type of illumination for the center console, drink holder, but it is and not pictured. We also see an illuminated Civic badge on the door sill. A pattern projector can also be used to lighten the ground with a Civic emblem if the driver’s door is opened. Although the photos show the Civic Hatchback’s upgrades, it is a small selection of items. We also suspect that all except the rear spoiler will work on the sedan.
We wouldn’t be surprised to see more factory-sourced accessories for the Civic, given its popularity and history as a highly customizable car. Honda has not yet released pricing information – the Civic Hatchback doesn’t even have pricing yet. A Honda spokesperson could not confirm whether these items would be available to American buyers. We hope these items will be sold in the States, for their excitement and conservative design.
