2022 Honda Civic Hatchback Introduces a Sleek Look and Manual Gearbox

Manuals are available for turbocharged and naturally aspirated engines.

For those who prefer a smaller vehicle, but still need the extra utility and versatility of a hatchback , the 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback is available. According to the company, the body design will appeal to “young and active buyers.”

Civic Hatchback’s front grille is different from that of the sedan. It uses hexagonal openings in place of horizontal slats found on the four-door. The rear is where the most significant changes are made. The sedan’s rear overhang is 4.9 inches, and the overall length of this model is 12.4 centimeters shorter.
The Civic Hatchback has a more elegant roofline than the sedan. Honda makes the hatchback itself from lightweight composite. The sedan has two lamps, each with separate lamps.

Side-pull cargo covers allow for hiding what’s inside. The cargo space is slightly smaller at 24.5 cubic feet than last year’s model, which was 25.7 cubic feet.

The Civic Hatchback will be available with a six speed manual gearbox, unlike the sedan. The Civic Sport trim will have it. It comes with a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder making 158 horsepower (118 megawatts) as well as 138 poundfeet (187 Newton meters). Three-pedal layouts will also be available on the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 180 hp (134kW) and 276 lb (240 Nm). All models have a CVT, but only the EX-L and LX grades have it. This transmission is available on the Sport or Sport Touring and includes paddle shifters.
