2022 Honda Civic Sedan: Here's How It Could Look
These rendered images bring the patent drawings to life.

Last month saw the next-generation Honda Civic make its official debut. However, it was only through two consecutive patent drawings submitted and discovered by Civic XI forums. We were able to see the new Honda Civic in its sedan and hatchback versions before it debuts next year.

Our team of artists was quick to bring the patent drawings to life. We were provided with renderings which show you what the next Honda Civic might look like in full colour and some details.

The 2022 Honda Civic is likely to have a more conservative design than the current-generation model. The Civic takes design elements from the Honda Accord and the Civic-derived hybrid called the Insight. These elements are visible on the wing grille, headlamp ensemble and split intake.

Although this rendering is based on the patent drawings, the artists also added some expected features to the mix, such as more sporty-looking wheels and a sunroof. These details add depth to the rendering.

These images should be taken with caution as there may be modifications to the production model. It is expected that it will debut in spring 2021. The body-colored “nose”, which could be black or chrome, would work with the car.

We will find out more about the Honda 2022 Civic sedan when it is officially released next year. It will also be available globally with a hatchback version. Due to declining demand, the two-door model won’t appear in the next-generation model. It’s good news that the Type R and performance Si versions will be available shortly after the launch of the mainstream model.
