Fun with more screens
These screens are becoming increasingly important in new cars. They give automobiles an extra dimension and, while can sometimes bring about danger they also add value to the car’s overall design.
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee is no exception. Two-row options were available a few months back. This screen is only available for the most costly Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve.
Although the passenger screen will be offered on the Grand Cherokee L in 2022, Mopar Insiders rumors that it will be an option for other trims.
Mopar Insiders has announced that the front passenger screen for 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited and Overland models will be optional. It will be available with the RJA option code, and it is expected to retail at $1,095. But, this doesn’t appear to be the case at present.
We should point out that Jeep’s 2022 configurator does not allow for the front passenger screen on the Summit Reserve two- or three-row Cherokees. At the time of writing, there is no option for the Limited, Overland and Summit models.
The passenger screen is 10.25 inches in size and contains four main techie functions. It can be used as a “Copilot” for navigation and device management. The HDMI plug allows smartphone mirroring as well as other UConnect 5 system functions. The front passenger screen is not yet available on the Grand Cherokee L trims. It will be available in the future.
