There are no engine changes.
Jeep is an off-road-ready pair that has undergone some changes in the new model year. The Wrangler as well as the Gladiator have a standard seven-inch infotainment screen for all trims. This replaces the five-inch display on the Wrangler Sport.
Upgrade to higher trim levels like the Wrangler Sahara or Rubicon and you will get an 8.4-inch touchscreen screen as standard. The Overland, Rubicon and Mojave grades get an 8.4-inch touchscreen display and an Alpine audio system with nine speakers.
The new model year also includes a cabin air filter that removes 95% of particulates. It is now standard on the Gladiator and Wrangler, regardless of their trim levels. The exterior color of the SUV and truck will be Silver Zynith. This replaces Billet Silver in the portfolio for 2021.
The Wrangler Rubicon’s 3.6-liter V6 engine and manual transmission is the most significant novelty for 2022. It has a 4.88 axle ratio which delivers a 100 to 1 crawl ratio straight from the factory. Later, this feature will be available on models equipped with an eight speed automatic gearbox. The Wrangler High-Altitude 4xe receives new 20-inch wheels, and exterior mirrors that have integrated turn signals.
The 2022 model year will not see any engine changes. The Wrangler will be available in seven trims, while the Gladiator will still have five grades. Prices for the Wrangler start at $29 725 and the Gladiator at $35,610, with both figures exempting a $1,595 delivery fee.
