Inside, there’s a bigger surprise. The last teaser image shows the dash and whoa Nellie which is a large digital screen. The single pane of glass runs from the driver’s side to the middle position, as is the norm with many cars now. The screen likely has two screens behind it with a few buttons below. It looks almost identical to the EV6 except for the differences in climate vents, and the steering wheel. It appears that Kia is really elevating the Sportsage inside and out.

We still have about a week to speculate on the future plans of Kia for the Sportage, as per this article’s May 30 posting. It’s almost certain that the powertrain will be electrified, given its connection to the platform-sharing Tucson. We expect to see the Sportage become a highly competitive segment with a variety of safety and driver assistance systems.

The debut is scheduled for June 8. There’s no reason why the next Sportage won’t be available by the end of this year. We wouldn’t be surprised if Kia releases more teasers before the SUV makes its debut.
