After having its premieres in South Korea, Europe and Asia , the 2022 Kia Stinger is now close to making its American debut. American premiere will be held on March 16.

Teaser image of Stinger’s new headlights. They now have two running lights at the top and bottom. It looks almost identical to the South Korean model. Only one major difference is the amber turn indicator at the corner of American versions.

While there might be subtle differences, such as the slight adjustments to the lights of the American-market model’s headlights, they should remain largely unchanged. The South Korean vehicle has full-length taillights at the rear. Higher trim levels have larger exhaust pipes. Optional packages add matte black to the rear wings, fender trim and mirror caps.

The new Stinger interior features a 10.25-inch infotainment display to replace the old 8.0-inch screen. The cabin is also made of nicer materials.

The 2022 Stinger is expected to come with , a 2.5-liter turbocharged four cylinder that produces 300 horsepower (224kW) rather than the 2.0-liter turbo which makes 255 HP (190 kW). The output of the twin-turbo, 3.3-liter V6 will be increased to 368 horsepower (274kW), rather than the existing tune’s 365 horsepower (272kW).

According to reports, the 2022 Stinger has a $3,000 increase in base price. According to Cars Direct, people who lease the GT2 grade, which is the top-of-the-line GT2 grade, for 24 months will receive a $3800 discount Kia offers 0.9 percent interest on 60-month financing, and $1,000 incentive for buyers who are coming from another brand.

The updated Stinger will be available in the US within the next few months, following the March 16 launch.
