It’s hard to keep up with the rapid-paced SUV world.
Only a few years old is the Kia Telluride. It was introduced for the 2020 model year . Although 2022 doesn’t bring any major changes, or even a minor facelift to the vehicle, if leaked information is true, it should be easy to distinguish it from other models.
According to Thekoreancarblog.com, Kia will make the 2022 Telluride more attractive with exterior trim changes. Not the least of these is the new Kia logo. It will be visible from the grille of the SUV. The report also states that Telluride grilles are going to be black throughout the lineup. The grille surround for LX models will be chrome with satin chrome accentuating other trims. Except for the Nightfall Edition, which is just black throughout.
However, the bigger news is inside. Telluride customers can expect to receive more standard equipment, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen with three way split-screen capability. The 2022 standard edition of Kia’s Highway Driving Assist, dual-zone climate control and smart cruise control are all allegedly included. We have contacted Kia to confirm these tidbits. However, the information comes from screenshots of internal documents. So we are not expecting confirmation until the official announcement of 2022 models is made later in the year.
As Kia continues to work on its logo rebrand, we don’t think there is any reason for us to doubt this information. The Telluride SUV is a popular choice for buyers, and Kia seems to want to keep the excitement going. It’s easy to make existing features standard equipment. However, the price is a key factoid that was not revealed in the leaked information. It’s likely that the 2022 Telluride will see an increase in price, particularly since some devious dealerships feel empoweredto inject nearly $20,000 into markups.
