This winter, on sale
The Mazda CX-9 will be available in 2022. It will feature a standard, all-wheel-drive system. This is why the starting price for the three-row SUV is higher. The money section will come in the second part of this article. But first, let’s look at what’s new on 2022.
The 2022 CX-9 is arriving at dealerships across North America this winter with no mechanical upgrades. The Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter turbocharged motor is paired with a six speed automatic transmission with manual or sport modes. This makes power available to all trim levels.
This engine produces 250 horsepower and a maximum torque of 320 pound feet when running on 93-octane gasoline. The turbo-four produces 227 horsepower and 310 lb/ft of torque when running on regular 87octane gasoline. All models are now equipped with Mazda’s i-Activ AWD, as standard.
Six trim levels make up the CX-9 range. The base CX-9 Sport is 18-inch in size. This grade includes a full LED package, rear spoiler, rain-sensing glass, and automatic headlights.
The CX-9 Touring is above it with the Touring Premium Package. This adds a 12-speaker Bose stereo system, additional USB charging ports and a wireless charger. You can upgrade to the Touring Plus trim and get 20-inch wheels, a gloss black front grille and a frameless rearview mirror.
Signature trim is the CX-9’s flagship model. It features heated rear captain’s chairs, Nappa leather in the first and second rows, 20-inch wheels, larger exhaust pipe sizes, and other amenities. Here’s the full price list for the 2022 CX-9:
