The high-powered sedan will see minor tweaks.

Although it has been a while since the Mercedes AMG GT 4 Door Coupe was launched in 2018, Stuttgart looks ready to make some minor changes to the super sedan. This prototype, which you can see in photos was spotted by our spy outside the automaker’s Nurburgring testing center, is the GT 63 S. It sports camo wraps and a front fascia.

The images show that the majority of the updates will be limited to the front, especially the lower bumper. We don’t anticipate any major changes to the GT 63 S as it is still young.
The AMG GT 4-Door Coupe will be redesigned with cabin enhancements. It is more likely that the car will adopt Mercedes’ latest infotainment system. It is possible that Mercedes will not go as far as redesigning the layout.

The facelifted AMG GT 4-Door Coupe will be available next year in the 2022 model year. Information about when exactly will be available is still scarce.

We do know that Mercedes is currently testing a hybrid version the high-powered practical sedan. It is being called the AMG GT 73e. It was seen warming up the Green Hell back, in September. This is allegedly to try and regain the title of the fastest executive car at Nurburgring from the 2021 Panamera.

According to reports, the AMG GT 73e will produce 800 horsepower (597 kilowatts), thanks to its 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine and electric motor. The AMG GT 63 S produces 630 hp (470 kW), and 664 lb/ft (900 Nm), respectively.

We and our spies will continue to watch for developments, so keep this in mind.
