It manages to lap the Nurburgring in less than 7 minutes.

After many teasers, lots spy shots documenting the development of the model, the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 has finally arrived. The model will be available in the US starting this fall. Porsche will provide pricing details shortly.

The new GT3’s heart is the naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-6 engine. It produces 502 horsepower (374 Kilowatts) as well as 346 pound-feet (469 Newton meters) of torque. It revs at 9,000 rpm with six independent throttle bodies. A new set of pistons was used by the company in comparison to the version of the powerplant.

The 2022 911 GT3 is standard with a seven speed PDK. A six-speed manual is also available.

The PDK powertrain propels the car to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.2 seconds and the top speed to 197 mph (317 kph). In just 6 minutes and 59.927 seconds, the latest 911 GT3 covered the 12.944-mile (21.832-kilometers) layout of the Nürnbergring Nordschleife. The previous-gen GT3 took 7:12.7 minutes, while the last GT3 RS covered the circuit in 6:56.4 minutes.

This is in place of the MacPherson Strut setup found on the standard Carrera. The standard 911 does not have a suspension component that can be transferred to the GT3.

The front fascia, which includes integrated cooling intakes, can be used to visually identify the GT3 from the front. The front lip spoiler, diffuser and diffuser can be adjusted. The track is 1.9inches wider than the 911 Carrera.

A manually adjustable, swan neck-mounted wing attaches at the rear to the deck. The center is home to two circular exhausts, with a diffuser on either side.

The spoiler, rear wing and hood are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic to save weight. The lightweight glass can also help to shed some weight.

The GT3 has 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch back wheels. They weigh in at 3.5 pounds (1.6 kg) less than the GT3’s wheels. Street-legal track tires can be ordered as an option. These are the same rubber that was used on the car’s Nurburgring lap.

The GT3 comes standard with a pair of 16.06-inch (408 millimeter) cast iron discs at the front. This model is 1.102 inches (28 mm) larger than the previous-gen. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes are an optional option. They measure 16.14 inches (410 mm) at the front.

Interior upgrades have been made to the 911 GT3 as well. The 4 o’clock position of the steering wheel houses the Drive Mode button. The PDK gearshift is more ergonomic than the blocky design of other 992-generation Porsches. It uses an adapted manual transmission lever. Standard are the four-way adjustable Sport Seats Plus, but buyers have the option to choose 18-way Sport Seats Plus, or carbon-fiber Full Bucket Seats. These seats weigh in at 26 pounds (11.7 kilograms).
Optional is the Chrono Package. This package adds a stopwatch to the dashboard and a digital stopwatch within the instrument cluster. It also supports the Lap Trigger, which is used for accurately keeping track of times on circuits.
