Mojave Sand exterior with wheels and badges is complemented by a stylishly tanned TRX appearance package.
With its 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 engine rated at 702 horsepower (523 kilowatts) and an aggressive suspension, the Ram TRX is a powerful off-road vehicle. This truck is great for speeding through the desert, so why not make it a special desert-themed model? Friends, the 2022 Ram TRX Sandblast Edition is here.
It is strictly an exterior package. The exterior will be Mojave Sand, but there won’t be any engine, powertrain or suspension modifications. This package includes a set 18-inch black wheels in a light tan shade. Exterior graphics are also specific to the package. The truck is also branded Sandblast Edition. An emblem with the truck’s VIN and engine information is riveted to its center console. It also displays the boost pressure, horsepower, and an American Flag.
Light Frost contrast stitching is included in the package to lighten the otherwise dark interior. Carbon fiber accents will be found inside the package, as well as TRX branding on the headrests. The truck’s roof is a dual-pane panoramic. At the back you will find a spray-in bedliner with cargo tie downs, a bed step and an LED third brake light.
“Our customers want to stand apart from the rest and the Ram 1500 TRX Sandblast edition allows them to do that.” Mike Koval Jr, Ram CEO, stated that the latest example shows how Ram trucks continue to deliver features that will win over more buyers.
Ram is no stranger to special edition pickup truck announcements. Normally, there is a small teaser campaign that leads to an official announcement. Ram didn’t handle it technically. The teasing was done by Ken Block, a pro rally driver. Ram claims that he is also a TRX owner. It’s possible that the F150 Raptor pickups had become too old for the former Ford driver. However, it’s not clear if this collab is the start of a Block/Ram partnership or just a one-off.
To get a TRX Sandblast Edition, you will need to spend at least $100,080. This is the base price and includes Ram’s $1,795 destination fee. The special truck is available for those who have the cash.
