2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia, Stelvio Estrema Unveiled With Standard Adaptive Suspension

Available for order

We discovered a special edition version the Alfa Romeo Stelvio earlier this month. It was camo-free, but it is now time to make its official debut. The Stelvio Estrema and the Giulia Estrema fill in the gap between the Veloce trims and the more expensive Quadrifoglio models.

The Estrema duo, which Alfa Romeo calls “the first worldwide limited-edition series,” is designed to be a performance-oriented alternative for the Veloce trim. It features a standard adaptive suspension as well as a limited slip differential. Advanced suspension detects road conditions and adjusts shock valves accordingly to achieve better handling characteristics.

The LSD is another technology that the Giulia Estrema (and Stelvio Estrema) share with the QV models. The LSD distributes torque between the wheels, ensuring better traction when cornering and acceleration. The turbocharged 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine is responsible for producing the power. It produces 280 horsepower (415 kilowatts) as well as 306 pound-feet (415 Newton meters) of torque. The SUV and sedan come standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Standard all-wheel drive is available on the Stelvio, but optionally Alfa Romeo’s Q4 AWD system for the Giulia.

The Italian automaker claims that the sedan can accelerate to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 5.5 seconds RWD and 5.1 seconds when all four wheels are turning. For the same sprint, the Stelvio takes 5.5 seconds.

Both cars come standard with adaptive cruise control, blind-spot assistance, lane departure warning and automatic emergency brake. Alfa Romeo F1 is a proud partner, helping with weight distribution and other performance tweaks.

Both the Giulia Estrema as well as the Stelvio Estrema can be ordered now. First deliveries are expected to take place in the third quarter. Prices start at $55,090 (RWD Giulia Estrema) and $58,950 (Stelvio Estrema). AWD Giulia Estrema will require a minimum of $57,090. All prices do not include a destination fee of $1,595.
