According to Motor1.com, the 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale has a starting price of $30,000. According to this information, the most expensive examples will be in low $50,000 range.
The Tonale will be available in the US in three trims. Sprint will be the entry-level model. It will only come with a turbocharged four-cylinder of 2.0-liter capacity, making 256 horsepower (191 kW) & 295 pound-feet (405 Newton-meters) torque. The powertrain will only come with an automatic nine-speed gearbox and an all wheel-drive system.
The Ti will be the mid-range model. The Ti will be the mid-range model. It will be available with the 2.0-liter turbo engine. Buyers will be able to also upgrade to the plug in-hybrid powertrain. The setup will include a 1.3-liter turbocharged four cylinder, a six-speed auto and a rear-axle mounted electric motor. The system’s total output will be 272 horsepower (203 kW).
The PHEV will run on a 15.5-kilowatt hour lithium-ion battery. According to Alfa, the model can travel more than 30 miles (48 km) per charge. The charging time to fully charge the battery will take 2.5 hours on a level 2 charger.
The Veloce grade is the highest trim level. Only the PHEV powertrain will be available.
The Tonale’s models will include full LED headlights as well as a wide range of safety tech. The interior will feature a 12.3-inch digital infotainment cluster with a 10.25 inch infotainment display. The Uconnect 5 software suite will be used to run the tech, which will support Alexa home-to car and car-to–home communication with smart devices.
The Tonale will cost less than the base version of similar-sized premium European crossovers at sub-$40,000. The 2022 Audi Q3 starts at $37,595 with destination. An entry-level 2022X1xDrive28i costs $38,395.
The Tonale will be available in the US during the first quarter 2023.
