Expect a minimal redesign.
Two weeks ago spy shots showed that Audi was working on a refreshed Audi6 sedan. The camouflage on the tips disguised minor modifications Audi to the model. We have two new renderings today that are based on the spy shots. This allows us to see what the model might look like when Audi unveils it. Although the car isn’t drastically different from the current model, there might be some differences with the production model.
The Kolesa.ru renders show an A6 Sedan that is very similar to the previous model. However, the front and rear have been modified. The most significant changes are made to the front bumper. This is where the fake intakes and fog lights reside. The front now has a taller, sportier shape. Although the shape of the headlights isn’t likely to change, they should be given a new internal signature.
Rear end is identical to front with only minor changes to the diffuser. It was difficult to see details due to the camouflage used in spy photos. However, the rendering shows new taillight interiors, new bumpers and new exhaust outlets. Although the renderings do not show the interior, Audi may make some minor changes to the infotainment system. Audi cannot make significant changes to the interior during a mid-cycle refresh.
Spy shots showed what looked to be the S-Line trim. This means that the standard A6 may look different than what the renderings show. The S-Line badge gives the model an upgrade in visuals without having to spend a lot on the powertrain. The refreshed Audi A6 could make its debut in 2022, when it will be available to the public as a 2023 model. With few changes, the powertrain lineup will be carried over to this new model.
