To reduce turbo lag, the 2023 S6 & S7 have an electric-powered compressor system.
The new Design Edition package adds style and speed to the S6 or S7 models in 2023 Audi. It costs $2,500 and is only available for 2023 model years. The Design Edition will be available for customers to order starting in June 2022.
The Design Edition HTML6 or HTML7 are available in an exclusive exterior color, Arrow Gray, with a Brilliant Black roof. You can also choose from: Brilliant and Mythos Black Metallics, Daytona Gray Pearl Effects, Firmament Blue Metallics, Florett Silver Metallics, Glacier White Metallics, Tango Red Metallic and Ultra Blue Metallic.
The shade Liquid Chrome Dark is used for much of the exterior trim in the Design Edition. High-gloss black elements are available for the Four Rings emblems and badges, as well as window surrounds and mirror caps. Audi tints the lenses of the headlights to give them a darker appearance.
The Design Edition models are equipped with 21-inch wheels. The S6’s have a textured finish and five spokes that split at the rim into a V shape. The S7’s design features trapezoidal, open elements that split off each spoke. Both models have red brake calipers with S-branding.
These vehicles come inside with sport seats with black Valcona leather upholstery. Dinamica is Audi’s microfiber fabric used for the gearshift, lower console and knee pads. Heating is available for the flat-bottomed steering wheel, which has Alcantara and is covered with Alcantara. The cabin is adorned with red contrast stitching.
The brand’s electric-powered compressor system will be available for the 2023 Audi S6 in the US and S7 in the US. This tech features an electric motor and small turbine that rapidly builds boost pressure. This results in a sharper throttle response and less turbo lag. The output of the twin-turbocharged, 2.9-liter V6 is still at 444 horsepower (331 Kilowatts).
