2023 BMW 8 Series Facelift: Light-Up Grille, Larger Display

The BMW 8 Series was introduced in 2018 and the German automaker is now ready to update the model. The 8 Series Coupe and Gran Coupe sedans will be getting a slight makeover for 2023. Although there are not many changes, this mid-cycle refresh will bring some positive improvements to customers’ satisfaction.

The biggest change inside will be the dash BMW The 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster is replaced by the 12.3-inch Live Cockpit Professional display. Although it is possible to say that the most significant changes are made on the outside, BMW has not changed much. A new illuminated grille has been added to the 2023 8 Series. It features redesigned vertical bars that are u-shaped. The trick grille activates when the vehicle’s door is opened or unlocked. The feature can be manually disabled by the driver. BMW has also added five new colors to the model – Skyscraper Grey metallic and San Remo green metallic, Portimao Blue metallic and BMW Individual Frozentanzanite Blue metallic to the new model, as well as two optional wheels. The M850i xDrive convertible, coupe, and Gran Coupe models get a few upgrades. The M exterior mirrors, originally designed for the BMW M8, are now available on the model. There is also an M badge on the grille. The M850i xDrive coupe has an optional M Sport Package Professional that includes black calipers, kidney grilles, and Shadowline headlights with dark inserts.

The classic BMW Motorsport logo will replace the BMW roundel on all M850i xDrive models’ hoods, trunks, and wheels. BMW M GmbH is celebrating 50 years. The new logo, according to the BMW, is reminiscent the original one that BMW used on its 1973 racing cars. The US production of the new BMW 8 Series will start in March. The entry-level price for the model year 2022 will remain the same. The 2023 Gran Coupe and Gran Coupe will be priced at $85,000. This excludes the $995 destination fee. The price for the 2022 8 Series Convertible is $94,400

BMW will however introduce the 8X Jeff Koons edition 8 Series 8 Series before production starts. BMW will unveil the limited edition 850i xDrive Gran Coupe on February 17. According to BMW, the car will feature a multi-layer exterior finish in 11 colors and the finest leather interior. Alpina B8 Gran Coupe will get the 8 Series’ new grille and display.
