This sedan can produce up to 540 horsepower.
BMW is working on a hotter M3 version that cranks up the power. Many rumors surround the new model. Spy photos have already teased the high-performance sedan. Motor.es has released a new rendering that removes the camouflage to show you what the new BMW M3 CS might look like when it debuts.
Although spy shots show BMW covering the front fascia of the car with cladding in spy shots, the rendering gives us one view of the design possibilities. BMW’s large kidney grille is found on the sedan, which sits above an angular lower opening of its grille. The bumper has thin vertical intakes that are located below the sleek headlights. The CS will receive M-specific headerlights as standard equipment.
Rear-wheel drive won’t be a standard feature. According to the latest leak, BMW will offer only the M3 CS with xDrive all wheel drive and an automatic gearbox. BMW will make up the power loss however. The 3.0-liter inline-6 engine will produce 540 horsepower (or 397 kilowatts). To improve performance, the sedan will be equipped with heavy carbon-fiber parts.
We are not sure what the car will look like until it loses some camouflage at its front. BMW will redesign the 3Serie that will be released later in the year. The new M3 CS may adopt these styling changes as well as the BMW M3 Touring wagon. We will not know the final details until we see the sedan in person, which could be before the end.
BMW has yet to announce the new model, although rumors have it that production will begin in March 2023. BMW has apparently moved that date up from July. BMW will make the vehicle for only 11 months, before it ends in February 2024. We don’t know how many BMWs we will produce. The car could be revealed before the end, so we will have all the information. It will be available for purchase next year.
